Revitalisation

New life for forgotten areas

From brownfield to greenfield. Not sealing new areas, but revitalising brownfields. Hagedorn Revital GmbH ensures that suitable areas for new project ideas are created in Germany. For example, old freight yards, derelict industrial complexes or disused power stations are being turned into first-class new sites for industry, commerce and urban districts.

According to the German government's climate protection plan, the consumption of new land should be reduced to net zero by 2050, thus completing the transition to a circular economy. Brownfields offer a way out of this dilemma. In order to drastically reduce the sealing of land and the rapid rate of 55 hectares of land consumption per day.

From wasteland to prime property.

The future starts with dismantling! In times of land scarcity, disused power plant sites harbour enormous potential. By developing new utilisation concepts at locations such as Lünen, we are creating new prospects for citizens, the economy and the region.

Good to know

What is...

...a brownfield?

A brownfield site is an industrial or commercial wasteland - often an eyesore in the city - which may even be contaminated. The development, redevelopment and reuse of such brownfield properties is extremely challenging and costly.

...a greenfield?

A developed, completely renovated brownfield site with a sustainable future use as an attractive neighbourhood or business park.

  • 5.00 Years Duration
  • 10,000.00 qm Plot of land
  • 20,000.00 qm gross floor area

Regions and cities are changing. Things that were once considered indispensable are no longer needed today. Decay sets in. This was also the case with the former goods station in the centre of Gütersloh. Modern life in an urban area places new demands on a city's infrastructure.

This is why new buildings were planned on the 300 metre long and 38 metre wide site. The result was 20,000 square metres of commercial space; the area was given a new lease of life with a modern commercial mix and leisure facilities. The innovative architecture was intended to give the future space a unique charm.
