When we clean up polluted plots of land, we work out situation-specific concepts for this kind of remediation of contaminants (BGR 128, German guidelines). This process includes consulting with the relevant authorities.

Contaminated sites are those areas where deposits of pollutants are found in the ground, in water or in the air. These deposits are or can become dangerous for humans and for the environment. The remediation of contaminated stretches is therefore a job for specialists. When it comes to remediation of contaminated sites, the three golden rules for Hagedorn are efficiency, safety and quality. So that contaminated areas can do no damage, the Hagedorn experts firstly investigate these sites, then work out concepts designed for remediation and any necessary disposal and finally they implement their strategies. Areas or plots of land that have been processed by us in this way are revitalised and then ready to be repurposed. 

And when it is about this particularly sensitive subject of contaminated sites, Hagedorn stands tall for transparency and for a clear-cut modus operandi with clients and with the authorities – the creating of a solid basis for mutual trust, utmost professionalism and a good relationship amongst all parties concerned. It goes without saying that we communicate our remediation and waste disposal concepts quite openly and we are pleased to include the appropriate authorities in our work from the outset. The result of this approach is the smooth running of all operations.

On completion of the remediation of the contaminated site, our client is given a fully documented and verified waste disposal register, which includes clear information on the mass fluxes that have been effected. At the end of the project, should the client so wish, Hagedorn will organise any necessary follow-up or, alternatively, set up a detailed monitoring concept if this option is requested.
