Revitalisation project at the old gas storage facility site

The Hagedorn Group is once again demonstrating its expertise in the revitalisation of brownfield sites. Together with GDD Development, a modern commercial area is being developed on a 38,000 square metre site in Dormagen.

The former gas storage facility, which characterised the townscape for 25 years, was demolished in 2017 and has been derelict ever since. The site is heavily contaminated with pollutants such as arsenic and lead, but thanks to well thought-out soil management, it is being treated safely.

Hagedorn is utilising its entire process chain to implement this challenging project sustainably and efficiently - another example of its versatility and precision in the construction industry. Dormagen is considered an attractive business location due to its proximity to Cologne and Düsseldorf.
