Civil engineering project in Diemelstadt

The civil engineering project in Diemelstadt covers an area of 130,000 m², on which a logistics centre is being built. Completion is planned for May 2025. The civil engineering works include drainage, rainwater retention basins and the use of reinforced earth and sheet piling. Special drillings with reinforced earth and binder stabilisation will be carried out for the foundations. The project is characterised by the use of machines such as rock cutters, 50t excavators and a caterpillar with electric drive. The removal of the rock is particularly challenging. The project is proceeding according to plan, with the first tarmac work due to start. Sustainability is being promoted through the use of RC material and electric drives in the machines. A striking feature is the backfill of up to 15 m and the connection to the motorway.
