Doing good together: Hagedorn supports the Vesperkirche Gütersloh

The Hagedorn Group recently supported another social project. Under the name MIThelfen, employees of the group got involved in the Gütersloh Vesperkirche, a project that promotes community and a spirit of helpfulness.

The Vesperkirche, an institution that brings people from all walks of life together, pursued the goal of offering guests not only a warm meal, but also a valuable opportunity for exchange and encounter. In the warm atmosphere of the Martin Luther Church, Hagedorn's helpers were active in the lunch shift from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., helping to serve meals and doing other tasks such as taking food orders and washing dishes.

The team consisted of dedicated Hagedorn employees, including Niko Brosig (SFLX), Christina Herzog, Kathrin Obermann, Mareike Bluhm, Eva Choinowski and Kerstin Özdemir-Luft. The volunteers not only had the opportunity to donate their time to people in need, but also to talk to the guests personally and hear their stories.

‘It was very important to me to help there because I want to take every opportunity to help others,’ explains Kerstin Özdemir-Luft. ’It gives me great joy to make a positive contribution and to stand by people in difficult situations.’

The Vesperkirche itself is a place where people in difficult life situations can meet. The concept is based on encounters, hospitality and sharing a meal together – regardless of social or religious differences. In this context, not only the guests but also the helpers of Hagedorn feel welcome and valued.

With such actions, the Hagedorn group of companies reaffirms its commitment to society and shows how important it is to work for the community.
